Remote work is a growing trend with rapid adoption worldwide and particularly in Latin America: firms such as Gartner projected a 40% growth trend for 2021.

With the global circumstances created by the spread of COVID-19, the trend accelerated abruptly, as many people began working from home as part of company strategies to avoid contagion and protect public health.

Cisco's proactive plan

As alerts spread across different countries, monitoring of the Webex service showed a rapidly growing usage rate, both for the free service and among subscribers. Cisco therefore prepared a set of actions to help companies continue operating and to let employees work productively while staying safe at home.

The priority is making it easy for everyone to work from anywhere (including home), at any time, and from any device, so they stay connected with their teams and can continue their day-to-day operations.
